If you are seeking a loving and snuggly furbaby who loves to be near you and smother you in affection, then a ragdoll cat would be perfect for you. Ragdoll cats have such beautiful and relaxed natures and are very people focused. Their personalities can be described as being quite puppy-like as they just love to be a part of their owners lives, even greeting family members at the door when they arrive home. Ragdolls just love to be a part of your lives and will follow you from room to room -just to be sure they know what you are up to!

Whilst ragdolls are an exceptionally laid back, gentle and affectionate kitty, they are also quite playful and thoroughly enjoy bonding with their owners through play.

Even when in play the ragdoll is gentle and usually play without extending their claws

The ragdoll's stunning coats are plush, silky soft and require little grooming as they are not prone to knots and matting, but they do shed.

Unlike domestic cats, the ragdoll is not suited to the outdoor world - due to their affectionate and docile nature, a ragdoll cat will not respond quickly to danger and can get themselves into all sorts of trouble. If you are considering adopting a ragdoll, please ensure you are happy to provide them with a safe and secure outdoor area, or only let them outside when on leash.

My first ever raggie "Lady Luna" (pictured below, above on the purple lead) was a traditional blue point and she began my love for this amazing breed. Lady Luna was the "puppiest" cat that this dog loving girl had ever met!!
